PV Power (POW VN): Announces an increase in charter capital
The power company has been convening shareholders for its upcoming EGM, focusing on increasing charter capital (this would be the first increase). POW has not yet disclosed any detail related to the funding plan. Following the 2025 plan, PV Power needs over VND6.63 trillion (about USD254 million) for investing activities, mostly for capex of the LNG Cryogenic Powerplants and other Renewable Energy projects.
PetroVietnam is still the parent company to PV Power with nearly 80% direct interest. In H1 2025, PV Power made revenue of nearly VND17.6 trillion (about USD673 million, up +12% YoY) and net income of VND1.02 trillion (about USD39.1 million, up +52% YoY and outperforming 2025 target profit by 174%). POW VN closed at VND15,150 per share on 8th August 2025, thus 24.3x P/E and 1.1x P/B.
Van Phu Invest (VPI VN): Insider transactions
Mr. Pham Hong Chau – the recently appointed CEO at Van Phu Invest, registered to buy 400,000 VPI VN shares, effective from August 12th to September 10th. At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Thi Lan and Mr. Ngo Khac Nghia, his parents-in-law, registered to sell 200,000 VPI VN shares each. In relation to the company’s Q2 results: Van Phu Invest reported Q2 revenue of VND180 billion (about USD7 million, up +7.9% YoY) and net income of VND7 billion (about USD268,000, down -72.2% YoY). VPI VN closed at VND53,800 per share on 8th August 2025, hence 47.9x P/E and 3.4x P/B.
Viettel Post (VTP VN): Bidding for the sub-projects of the Logistic Centre in Da Nang
The Viettel-invested logistics company submitted its bid, expecting to build infrastructure and the No.1&2 warehouses at cost of VND250 billion (about USD9.6 million) within 12 months. In H1 2025, Viettel Post generated revenue of nearly VND10.1 trillion (about USD384 million, up +4% YoY) and net income of over VND169 billion (about USD6.5 million, up +16% YoY). VTP VN closed at VND118,000 per share on 8th August 2025, resulting 35.3x P/E and 8.6x P/B.
Dong Phu Rubber (DPR VN): Cash dividend declared
DPR declared cash dividend of VND2,000 per share with August 20th as Ex-date. H1, the company reported revenue of VND404 billion (~USD15.5 million, down -4% YoY) and net income of VND118 billion (~USD4.5 million, down -6% YoY). At the end of H1, the company held nearly VND2 trillion of cash, cash equivalents, and short-term deposits, accounting for 43% of total assets. DPR VN closed at VND41,200/share, thus 14.1x P/E and 1.4x P/B.
