Vietnam Bond Market Association: Total redemption value increased by 70%
There were 43 corporate bond issues in August 2025 with total value of nearly VND45.7 trillion (approximately USD$1.732 billion), in which 37 private placements and 6 public offerings. Banks still accounted for 73% of total value issued , followed by Real Estate companies with 17%. Corporate issuers also redeemed over VND27 trillion (approximately USD$1.022 billion) of their bonds, up +70% YoY while there were still VND70 trillion (approximately USD$2.652 billion) of outstanding bonds due in 2025.
Binh Son Refining & Petrochemical (BSR VN): Considering potential strategic cooperation with foreign investors
The top management disclosed that the parent company, the state-backed PVN with 92.1% interest, has been contemplating a divestiture in order to comply with regulations related to ownership concentration.
About E10 petrol, BSR will put the Biofuel factory into operation in November, ready to comply with new regulations effective since 2026. BSR VN closed at VND27,900 per share on 10th September 2025, thus 1.5x P/B while TTM EPS was still negative.
Mobile World Group (MWG VN): CEO of Bach Hoa Xanh sold some of his shares
An insider, Mr. Pham Van Trong – CEO at the convenient store chain Bach Hoa Xanh, sold 500,000 MWG VN shares last week, effective reducing his stake to over 2.63 million shares (about 0.18% ownership).
Bach Hoa Xanh now accounts for nearly a third of MWG’s consolidated revenue but remains a small contributor in terms of overall profit. MWG VN closed at VND75,500 per share on 10th September 2025, hence 23.1x P/E and 3.8x P/B.
Can Don Hydropower (SJD VN): Cash dividend
The powerplant operator declared cash dividend of VND1,650 per share with September 23rd as Ex-dividend date. Song Da Corporation (SJG VN) is current the largest shareholder and also the parent company, holding 51% interest.
Erikoissijoitusrahasto Elite – a fund managed by and connected to Finnish PYN Elite, is a major shareholder with 7% of current shares outstanding. SJD VN closed at VND15,900 per share on 10th September 2025, meaning 7.4x P/E and 1.2x P/B.
