Duc Giang Chemicals (DGC VN) and Vietnam Apatite – Phosphorus JSC (PAT VN)
Ex-Dividend update, Duc Giang Chemicals and its level-2 subsidiary Vietnam Apatite – Phosphorus will pay cash dividends of VND3,000 and VND7,000 per share, respectively, with the same Ex-dividend date of 19th November and the same Settlement date of 20th December 2024. Consequently, the parent company has to pay VND1,139 billion (about USD44.9 million) while its subsidiary need VND175 billion (about USD6.9 million). DGC VN closed at VND113,200 per share on 15th November 2024, down -14.1% from its 52-week high, thus 14.5x P/E and 3.1x P/B. Meanwhile, PAT VN closed at an average of 94,910 per share, down -8.4% from its 52-week high, thus 10.1x P/E and 3.6x P/B.
Da Nang Rubber (DRC VN) – CEO registered to buy shares
Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut – Board member and CEO of the company, registered to buy 50,000 DRC VN shares via order matching method, and the disclosed purpose is investment. If successful, he will increase his stake up to 538,566 shares, equivalent to 0.45% of shares outstanding. Currently, the state-invested VINACHEM is the parent company of the tyre manufacturer with 50.51% ownership (no other substantial shareholder is recorded presently). VINACHEM also has veto rights in another tyre manufacturer named Sao Vang Rubber (SRC VN), thanks to its possession of 36% of shares outstanding. DRC reported Q3 2024 net revenue of VND1,218 billion (about USD48 million, up +8.4% YoY) and same quarter net income of VND46 billion (about USD1.8 million, down -39.3% YoY). DRC VN closed at VND27,000 per share on 15th November 2024, down -27.9% from its 52-week high, hence 12.0x P/E and 1.7x P/B.
Mobifone Service (MFS VN) – Dividend declared
MFS declared its 2023 cash dividend of VND2,500 per share with Ex-dividend date of 20th November and Settlement date of 23rd December. Mobifone Service is a telecom infrastructure operator and services provider, founded in 2008 as a joint venture between 2 Telcos, Mobifone and VNPT, and 3 other institutional shareholders. Until now, only Mobifone out of 5 founding shareholders, is still the majority with ownership of about 31.3%. Mobifone Service typically does not publicly announce its quarterly financial statements. FY2023 net revenue of the company was VND397 billion (about USD15.6 million, down -4.0% YoY) and net income was VND20 billion (about USD0.8 million, down -5.7% YoY). MFS VN closed at VND36,270 per share on 15th November 2024, down -50.5% from its 52-week high. Market cap is approximately USD10.1 million with recent ADTV of about 255,000 shares.
