VSDC: Number of trading accounts passes 11 million
By the end of September 2025, Viet Nam already had over 11 million trading accounts with an increase of over 290 thousands over last month, even completing the 2030 objective. Last month also observed 22 new foreign institutional accounts opened following VSDC reporting.
Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) announces new index - VNDIVIDEND
HOSE introduced the VNDIVIDEND index to the public and also issued regulations for managing constituents. This index will consist of 10 to 20 stocks already constituted in VNAllshare, meeting all requirements:
- Shortlist for constituents: (1) listed on HOSE for at least 5 years; (2) market cap of over VND2 trillion; (3) average daily trading value of at least either VND8 billion (if trading volume is over 100,000) or VND10 billion (if trading volume is over 200,000); and (4) net profit in 4 recent quarters are all above zero.
- Constituents: (1) 3-year average
Bamboo Airways (unlisted): Plans to hire 500 flight attendants in the next two months
The airline in a turnaround announcement is seeking to hire around 500 cabin crew, between now until the end of November and prefers candidates with proficiency in East Asian languages (i.e. Korean or Japanese). Also announced, Bamboo Airways has entered negotiations with partners to add 2-3 leased aircraft, increasing its capacity by 16% to before the 2026 Tet Holiday.
ASEAN Low Cost Carrier AirAsia (5099 KL) Interested to enter Vietnamese aviation race
Recently, Tony Fernandes - CEO of Capital A (AirAsia’s parent company) has confirmed via an interview with Bernama on the sidelines of the Asean Economic Ministers’ Meeting 2025 that AirAsia has entered into talks with Vietnamese partners in hopes to establish a foothold in Vietnam. To date, AirAsia has obtained air operator certificates (AOCs) to operate in five ASEAN countries, namely Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia.
Taseco Airs (AST VN): Cash dividend
The company declared cash dividend of VND2,500 per share with October 16th as Ex-date and October 24th as Settlement date. In H1 2025, Taseco Airs made revenue of VND779 billion (about USD29.6 million, up +20% YoY) and net income of VND117 billion (about USD4.5 million, up +73% YoY). AST VN closed at VND73,800 per share on 7th October 2025, thus 16.7x P/E and 4.9x P/B.
