TRADING STRATEGY
The stock market closed lower at 1,808 points with liquidity falling below the weekly average. Sector divergence occurred within individual sectors. Capital flows showed improvement in financial services stocks, along with some individual stocks in real estate, banking, construction, and materials. Conversely, selling pressure increased in oil and gas, chemical, basic resources, utilities, and retail stocks. The VN-Index is likely to fluctuate around 1,795-1,815 points today.
The market experienced a tug-of-war after the spectacular recovery in the previous session. Overall sentiment remains cautious. Capital flows are showing signs of shifting from groups of stocks that experienced short-term rapid increases to groups/sectors with more attractive valuations or benefiting from domestic macroeconomic factors. Foreign investors increased net selling. The fact that the VN-Index has not yet been able to conquer the 1,820-1,840 point resistance zone may cause the index to trade sideways within a wide range with short-term fluctuations to stabilize capital flows and the supply-demand balance. Investors should pay attention to controlling portfolio weightings and may consider increasing purchases for medium-term strategic portfolios when supporting reversal movements appear accompanied by confirming signals. Short-term trades should be flexible according to capital flow movements.
