HIGHLIGHTED NEWS
- According to the Ministry of Construction, infrastructure investment in the last months of 2025 is expected to see a strong breakthrough with the largest-scale infrastructure project commencement and inauguration ever. Specifically, on December 19th, a total of 232 projects are expected to be simultaneously launched, including 149 commencements and 83 inaugurations, with a total investment of over 1.1 trillion VND. Priority strategic projects include the North-South Expressway Phase 2, the Central Highlands-Mekong Delta inter-regional expressway, the 500 kV transmission system, high-tech industrial parks, and logistics infrastructure. Thus, alongside the commencement of 250 projects on August 19th, Vietnam is preparing to welcome another major step forward in infrastructure development, thereby enhancing competitiveness and opening up new growth opportunities.
TRADING STRATEGY
- The stock market closed in red at 1,747 points with liquidity increasing sharply and reaching the highest level in the past month. Selling pressure appeared in almost all groups - industries, especially the leading stocks in the finance, oil and gas, industrial services, and retail sectors. On the contrary, supporting cash flow appeared in some individual stocks in the technology, construction and materials sectors and some pillar codes in the VN30. The VN-Index today is likely to fluctuate around the 1,740-1,760 point area.
- The market appeared to shake after a series of nine consecutive increasing sessions. Selling pressure occurred quite early in the context of a generally cautious sentiment, causing the index to retreat to the area approaching the 1,720 point mark. However, the fact that many basic stocks have attractive discounted prices compared to the year-end valuation has triggered the bottom-fishing cash flow to return. VN-Index narrowed its decline and the uptrend towards the 1,780-1,800 point area is still temporarily guaranteed. Investors should pay attention to concentrated trading, limit spreading, control the portfolio by individual stocks, and prioritize choosing basic stocks for the medium-term target in the first half of 2026.
