TRADING STRATEGY
The stock market rose positively, surpassing the 1,900-point mark, with slightly lower liquidity compared to the previous trading session. Market differentiation continued. Capital tended to shift from large-cap banking stocks to leading sectors like real estate and oil and gas. Meanwhile, selling pressure emerged in basic resources stocks and showed signs of increasing in the tourism sector. The VN-Index is likely to fluctuate around the 1,890-1,910 point range today.
Although the market returned to a positive state, the index's movement for most of the trading session remained sideways, awaiting a breakout from a few specific stocks. Differentiation was quite evident as capital shifted back and forth between leading stock groups. Foreign investors made slight net sales after a series of four consecutive net buying sessions. This week marks the expiration of January derivatives. Therefore, the VN-Index may experience sideways movement in the next few trading sessions, alternating between cooling down and stabilizing within an upward trend. Investors should continue to adhere to their portfolio management strategies based on the specific positions of each stock, prioritizing buying and holding for the medium to long term. Short-term trading should be flexible, following the flow of money, and avoiding chasing prices when they rise sharply.
