An open fund is a fund contributed by many investors with the same investment objective and managed by a fund management company.
Open funds have no restrictions on time and the number of participants. In addition, open funds allow investors to buy/sell fund certificates based on Net Asset Value (NAV) on any trading day of the fund.
Open funds issue and redeem fund certificates without limitation. After the initial public offering, investor transactions are conducted periodically based on the Net Asset Value per fund unit (NAV/CCQ). Buying and selling are undertaken directly with the fund management company.
Open funds are suitable for investors with limited investment capital who desire long-term investment but lack the time, effort, and financial means to invest directly and those who wish to entrust their assets to a professional investment organization.
