Oriental Commercial Bank (OCB VN): A change in top management
Mr. Nguyen Huy Duc – CFO, submitted a letter of resignation but did not disclose detailed reason. Meanwhile, OCB declared cash dividend of VND700 per share, expected to be paid on August 7th. OCB VN closed at VND per share on 11th July 2025, thus 10.7x P/E and 1.0x P/B.
Siba Group (SBG VN): Expanding into dairy business
The group established a HCMC-based subsidiary specialized dairy products. This year, the most important project has been the Ba Ria-Vung Tau high tech machinery factory with capex of VND626 billion (about USD24 million), which could come into operation in this Q3 and generate revenue of VND1 trillion annually. SBG VN closed at VND12,200 per share on 11th July 2025, hence 12.3x P/E and 1.0x P/B.
Trung An Rice (TAR VN): An insider has continued to buy shares
Ms. Nguyen Le Bao Trang – Board member and CEO of the company, registered to buy 1.2 million TAR VN shares, equivalent to 1.5% ownership. Currently, TAR VN shares have been restricted from trading due to external audit issues and the management has been expecting to address these issues soon this year. The company reported bearish Q1 results with revenue of VND327 billion (about USD12.5 million, down -63% YoY, lowest in recent years) and net loss of VND-18 billion (about USD-690,000, the 4th consecutive quarter with net loss). TAR VN was last traded at price ceiling of VND5,000 per share on 11th July 2025, suggesting 0.4x P/B while P/E was still negative.
Viconship (VSC VN): Partial divestiture of Vip Greenport
Viconship registered to sell 6.33 million VGR VN shares, decreasing its ownership down to 54.35% if successful. Before, it already sold another 6.33 million VGR VN shares earlier this month, lowering its interest from 74.35% to 64.35%. In May 2025, Vip Greenport recorded 291 minor investors holding just 3.91% of shares outstanding, thus lower than 10% threshold for a public company. VSC VN closed at VND17,000 per share on 11th July 2025, hence 17.1x P/E and 1.3x P/B.
Hai An Transport & Stevedoring (HAH VN): Stock dividends
The fleet operator expects to issue 39 million additional shares to settle stock dividends of 30% declared. Record date is 30th July 2025, indicating 29th July 2025 as its Ex-date. The company also targets revenue of VND4,556 billion (about USD175 million, up +14.1% YoY) and consolidated net income of VND865 billion (about USD33.3 million, up +8.1% YoY). HAH VN closed at VND69,300 per share on 11th July 2025, therefore 10.9x P/E and 2.4x P/B.
